The Malaysian Chinese VTuber Hub (referred to as "the Platform" or "We") is committed to protecting user privacy. 1. Our Use of YouTube API Services and Compliance

The Platform utilizes YouTube API Services to obtain and display publicly available VTuber-related data and content.

  • Notice and Consent: You are hereby notified that the Platform uses YouTube API Services. By using our Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google Privacy Policy: Certain data collected and used by the Platform is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

Since this Service does not require user registration, we do not directly collect Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name or email address. We primarily collect the following types of information:

2.1 Data Collected via YouTube API (API Data)

We only access and collect publicly available data provided by the YouTube API, including but not limited to:

  • Channel Information: Public statistical data for VTuber channels (e.g., subscriber counts, video views, public description, Channel ID).
  • Video and Live Stream Information: Video/live stream metadata (e.g., title, thumbnail, publish date, public link).

We do not collect any private YouTube data, private messages, or any non-public personal information.

2.2 Non-Personal Information (Non-PII)

  • Usage Data: We may collect information about how you interact with the Platform, such as pages visited, access times, browser type used, and IP address. This information is used for service maintenance and improvement.
  • Device Information: The type of device used to access the Service (e.g., desktop or mobile).

3. How We Use and Store Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

  • Service Operations: For content aggregation, displaying VTuber data analysis results, and aggregating live stream links.
  • Service Maintenance and Improvement: For monitoring service performance, diagnosing technical issues, and enhancing user experience.
  • Compliance: To ensure we comply with all applicable YouTube API policies and legal requirements.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

  • Internal Sharing: Collected data (primarily aggregated, non-personal YouTube API Data) is used only within the Platform for service operation and maintenance and will not be shared with any unaffiliated internal teams or individuals.
  • External Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information or aggregated API Data. We will not disclose your information to external third parties unless legally required to do so, such as to comply with a court order, subpoena, or other legal process.
  • Public Disclosure: Please remember that the API Data we collect and display is, by its nature, publicly available data on YouTube.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technology Disclosure

  • The Platform Itself: The Platform does not actively place cookies or similar tracking technologies on your device to collect your PII.
  • Third-Party Tracking: When you use the Service, Google and/or YouTube (as the API service provider and external content source) may place, access, or recognize cookies or similar tracking technologies on your device. This is governed entirely by the Google Privacy Policy. You may manage or refuse cookies through your browser settings.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We only retain API Data as required for service operation and policy compliance.

  • API Data: In accordance with YouTube API policy, we regularly refresh/update and re-collect API Data to ensure the Platform's information remains as current as possible. We will securely delete or de-identify this data when it is no longer required for service purposes or when requested by YouTube.
  • Non-Personal Data: Your usage data and device information will be retained for a necessary period for analysis before being deleted or aggregated.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial measures to protect the data we collect and store. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee absolute security of information.
